Here, you will find all about what has happened at the club in the last month and what is coming up soon!

Well, where do we start?

It has been a successful and busy return to full programmes since August. All aspects of our club are growing continually and some massive things in the pipeline that we can't share...for now!

Enough said and now into the good stuff.

Girls Take Over AirThrill
In September, our girls section took over (literally) AirThrill in East Kilbride and that was all down to the hard work of the fundraising committee who have continually raised funds since the section was founded. This allowed them to take all the girls (and coaches!!) to AirThrill where it was a Busby AFC exclusive night! Well done to the fundraising team, keep up the good work.

More info can be found here.

Dates of Note
Please note that with the school holidays next week, we will be unable to use any of our outdoor lets at Williamwood High School or the indoor lets at Mearns Castle High School. There will also be no small-sided matches on Sunday 13th October but they will return on Sunday 20th October.

Alternative arrangements for some age groups may be made to continue training so contact your head coach for further details.

2019s Section
We are delighted to continue our excellent habit of getting the new section up and running. Not to make you feel old, we are now looking for new primary 1 children who were born in 2019 to join our fantastic club.

They have fun on a Thursday evening between 6-7(ish - Alan loves to run over!) indoors at Williamwood High School.

If you would like your child to join, or you think you might know someone who would like to join then please drop us a message at info@busbyafc.co.uk.

2014s Trip to Barcelona
Our 2014s are looking to get to Barcelona in May 2025 and are currently moving at pace with fundraising efforts.

The boys had a bucket collection at Waitrose over the weekend and also have a Just Giving page for any further donations. They will be taking part in a sponsored walk of Conic Hill on Saturday 26th October.

If you would like to sponsor the team then you can do so here.

2015s Movie Night
In our 2015s section, the fundraising committee are running a movie day on Sunday 1st December where they will be showing Home Alone at Carmunnock Recreation Hall.

The funds will be used to take the boys to tournaments and fun days throughout the year.

If you would like further details please drop us a message at info@busbyafc.co.uk.

Football Boot Appeal
We will be teaming up with a local charity that plans to reuse and recycle old football boots so please hold on to any old pairs you have at the moment.

More details to follow.

Christmas Party
A reminder to keep your calendar free on Sunday 8th December as there is a whole club Christmas party to which every player will be invited.

It is taking place at Hampden Park from 1pm where Zander Nation will be the DJ on the day with a whole load of other fun games and activities planned already.

Joe Noon - September Manager of the Month
Joe won the Boca Championship Manager of the Month for September from the Glasgow Colleges League.

We caught up with the man himself and he had this to say...

“It’s all down to the players, such a young squad for this level of football and the performances and start to the season they have put in have been excellent. A couple of draws so far which we should have picked up more points but overall it’s a good start. Had some of the boys since they were 4 and 5 and seeing them develop to where they are now is great to see.

“Also credit goes to Chris Harkins and Callum Moffat, 2 guys I rely on by my side each week and help make the decision easier.”

And breathe...

That is all we have for this update but we will have more to come very soon so keep your eyes peeled...
